How to make printer print full black text?

April 18th, 2013 2 comments

Printer is HP deskjet 3500. Only black ink cartridge (c8727) is installed. I want to print a PDF where the text is medium gray. When it prints the text is too light to read. How can I get the printer to print the text as black so I can read it? Computer is a Dell 3000 with XP home.

Unless you can edit the PDF and change the font colour you can’t.

How to install my HP printer without using the provided CD?

February 23rd, 2013 5 comments

I just bought a new HP printer (Deskjet Ink Advantage 2010 – K010a). My CD drive isn’t working, so I was thinking, is there a downloadable installer for my printer? Please provide specific details. Thanks!

P.S. My computer has Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit.

you can download the installer from the hp website, all you have to do is type it into google, although if you are not bothered by all the extra useless features that they throw into the program and all you want to do is print, then you should be able to just connect the printer to your computer and it will work. Windows has many printer drivers preinstalled.

Here is a link to the drivers and software to download. (If you want the software)

Good Luck

Is there something I can put over a transparency sheet after Ive printed on it to keep the ink from rubbing of?

I printed an image onto a transparency sheet from a deskjet printer. The ink just rubs off. Is there something I could put over it to keep that from happening?

Make sure you buy transparency sheets designed for inkjet printers and not just any transparency sheets.

Is an inkjet printer the same as a deskjet printer?

Is an Ink jet printer the same as a deskjet printer? The paper I am wanting to order says it has to be an inkjet or a laser printer I have a deskjet. Thanks
I am wanting to print temporary tattoos from my deskjet. The Special paper calls for inkjet or laser.

They are the same. Just called differently. For your deskjet, you need inkjet paper. Laser paper is smoother and not good for deskjets because it may smudge.

Information Regarding Hp Deskjet Printer Ink

I have owned a lot of the low-end printers over the years, but the HP Deskjet F4480 doesn’t deserve to be in that category. It is certainly low priced, but it is just as solid of a printer as some that are triple or even quadruple the price. I’ve had it for a little while now and it hasn’t let me down yet. I had it up and running in no time and I haven’t’ had to refer to the owner’s manual since the first day that I bought it.

I have tested out dozens of full-page color prints and there is no loss in quality at all from what I see on my computer monitor to what comes out on the page. I had read before I bought this printer that the quality would be very nice, but I still had my doubts because it seems like people say that about every printer. In this case, however, it was the truth.

Information Regarding Hp Deskjet 6940 Ink

The HP DeskJet 6940 is targeted at the small business market and is a nicely made product due to the brushed metal effect finish on the plastics. The introduction of an Ethernet port means it can also be linked to a network as well as shared within an office or workgroup without needing to make use of USB printer sharing. There is as well a USB port intended for standard connections to single machines in addition to a front PictBridge connector. Otherwise there is not very much with regards to extra features. This isn’t touted as a photo printer therefore there is no digital card reader built-in or even distinct ink tanks. There’s a small tray to keep 6x4in-sized paper or envelopes which stores around five sheets of either at a time.

A bank of four buttons adorns the front of the unit. Power, cancel print, status monitor and a button to print a network diagnostics page. The 6940 is well-built and also looks good with its clean lines and simple design. To be able to gain access to the print cartridges you just turn the front cover upward. The Ethernet and also power ports are on the back of the machine and both have invaluable status lights. The status light on the power adaptor is actually at the appliance end as opposed to the wall plug end which means you’ll be able to tell right away in the event that there’s a power condition rather than grovelling about a lot of wires under the counter.

Having a multifunctional printer is a very good idea. It doesn’t only saves space on a desktop and reduces the cable clutter behind it replacing two or three devices at the same time, but also the operation costs are cut, since there is no necessity to buy different kind of ink cartridges.

Many of them are very easy to install and use. Fortunately, there are many options in the market, designed for beginners and for more advanced users. One of the most easy to use and price competitive is the HP DeskJet F380 which combines in one single device, a color copier, a high resolution scanner and a color printer with great quality that HP usually delivers.
