How to make printer print full black text?

April 18th, 2013 2 comments

Printer is HP deskjet 3500. Only black ink cartridge (c8727) is installed. I want to print a PDF where the text is medium gray. When it prints the text is too light to read. How can I get the printer to print the text as black so I can read it? Computer is a Dell 3000 with XP home.

Unless you can edit the PDF and change the font colour you can’t.

How can I make our printer’s prints as normal as it was once before?

We’re using HP Deskjet 656c printer. It ran out of ink and it to0k some time before it got refilled again. When it was refilled, the prints aren’t as bright as it used to be. How do I fix this?

When you refill any cartrdige, the print is never as sharp as the original ones. Check the printer preference and make sure that the quality is set to normal or BEST. If that doen’t incerease the sharpness, then replace with the original cartrdige and save yourself the headache.

Why is my printer not printing the correct colors?

March 8th, 2013 2 comments

I have an HP Deskjet D4260 printer with pretty full cartridges. I have the latest HP drivers for this printer. It prints just fine, except for the fact that the colors are off.

Black is grayish blue, red is really dark, yellow is light brown, orange is dark brown. However, pink, purple, blue, green, and gray seem fine.

Is there some way to fix this by changing the printer’s settings, or is it a problem with the cartridges? It says the ink levels are high, but could something be physically wrong with the cartridges somehow?

Try running a printhead cleaning from the tools menu of the printer. It sounds like the ink may be bleeding over from the other colors.

Are you using refilled cartridges by any chance? This is one of the risks you take when using non-OEM cartridges. Cross contamination of the colored inks could definitely be a cause of the color errors.

What’s the difference between hp officejet, hp laserjet and hp deskjet?

What’s the difference between hp officejet, hp laserjet and hp deskjet??? Which one cost more and which one last longer (ink replacement)? Which one would you also recommend for school use? Please provide as much information as you can. thanks!

The laser jet is a laser print, uses toner not ink. Usually only black & white The other 2 are inkjet printers. Officejet is usually a multifuntion printer with a scanner & fax. Deskjet is just a printer.

Lasers are most expensive but print faster and are more economical with supplies. Inkjets are usually color. School use would depend on need. I would probably suggest the officejet because it scans & prints. Look at different models for one with the features you want. Some have WiFi.

Is there a difference between printer papers?

February 27th, 2013 1 comment

I am using a 10 year old Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 950C printer. It seems to work fine on generic photo paper, or on brand name paper. My question is: Is there really a difference between papers used by InkJets, DeskJets, LaserJets, etc.? I want to know if matte photo paper, listed as InkJet, from Epson will give a decent picture, on an H.P. DeskJet printer?

any type of paper will print on any computer. its better to use the type the printer recommends to get good prints. if you are doing black only it makes no difference.

Laser Printers–get Flawless Prints

Laser Printers are meant for printing high quality graphics and texts on plain paper. This the reason why this is looked upon as a lovely means to get everything printed on paper. This device is a fusion of a lot of technologies that makes it possible for people to get coloured as well as black out prints. With the processing of printing process within the device it is possible for people to get very crisp print-outs of images or texts placed in its image detector. A plain paper rolls over a roller and swaps ink on its way. The image scanned by the laser is thus gradually printed on the paper. This method of printing is flawless as there is an electric soft plastic blade that cleans the excess toner and deposits it in a reservoir. Then there is no blotting of ink and the final print out is absolutely magnificent. Every sort of printouts are possible with this device. The colour laser printer makes use of toner, basically dry ink, that are of types such as CMYK ( Cyan, magenta, yellow and black). Thus there is no complexity in colour printing and the print out is absolutely flawless. Maintenance of the laser printer is also very simple. This is because most printers make use of cartridge, supply toner, waste toner bottles and wiper blades. These make it possible for people to properly maintain the laser printer. The printer does not get untidy due to these waste disposal tools. The printers and scanners of Barcode are also very famous. The Barcode scanner as well as their printer are made very compact. Users can easily rely on them for printing and scanning of images and videos. The price of these gadgets are extremely reasonable and anyone can easily afford to buy one. The people always like the new things so there are many latest printers in the market right now. You can simply choose the variety. Information about the laser printer is also available on the internet. It allows people to easily learn about the features of the printers. Users can easily identify the ones that are the best by simply going through their specifications. Then it is also possible for people to learn about the price offered by different companies. People can easily buy the one that they find to be the best. Online orders for laser printers can also be placed. How to use Hp deskjet printer like Laser Printer?

December 26th, 2012 1 comment

when Deskjet printer compare with laser printer – black & white print out very poor. if any one have ideas & tips Plz tell me….

If you have a HP deskjet then I am suprised that the B&W output is very poor.
The text quality of HPs in normally very good – much better than Canon or Epson for example.
Maybe you have the print setting on "draft" instead of "normal".
"Draft" uses only half the ink and prints very quickly/roughly – just for a draft copy – not for final output copy.

Another possiblilty is that you are using very soft/cheap paper. If the paper is too low quality then the ink soaks in too much – creating a blurred effect. Get some proper inkjet paper – it need not cost very much more than standard copier paper.

HP printer 5850 prints a test print automatically after each print command is executed!?

December 10th, 2012 1 comment

I have HP5850 deskjet printer that worked without any problems till I recently changed the black cartridge. It prints without any prompts a "test page" with heavy bars each time after a normal file is printed. Could some one please help fix this annoying and paper/ ink wasting phenomenon? I checked the various tabs under "print properties" for any unusual settings. Didn’t notice any unusual settings. Thanks lot for the help.

This will fix that problem for you

Please follow exactly and IN ORDER.

1. Turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds. Turn it on again

2. Let the printer print the test page.

3. After the test page is printed, disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer to your computer. DO NOT turn off the printer while disconnecting the USB cable.

4. Place the test page on the scanner glass and press the SCAN button on the printer. The ON light will flash as the page is being scanned.

5. Remove the test page when the ON light is steady.

6. Finally, turn off the printer and wait another 10 seconds. Then turn it on again. No more printing test pages! Yay!

(You may now reconnect the printer to your computer via the USB cable.)

can the introductory catridge of HP deskjet printer D2568 refillable?

November 4th, 2012 1 comment

can the introductory catridge of HP deskjet printer D2568 refillable? I refilled the catridge but the software shows that it is still empty. And prints are not coming. a little print comes when the catridge shakes before put in the printer.

The cartridges are fully refillable. The computer will show that the cartridge is empty as it reads the copper plate on the cartridge. According to the computer it has already used the cartridge and it has to be empty for it.

Try buying an original HP cartridge, however the printer should continue printing while it is still showing the error message
